CamRanger Mini

I have tried for a long time to work with the Nikon app Snapbridge. Never was able to connect via USB and WiFi disconnected at whim. Finally I took my chances with CamRanger mini. It connects quickly, and the connetion is very solid. It can control my camera on video and photos. I can change my iso to mahual or auto iso, as well as focus touch, aperture and shutter speed. I also love the exposure bracketing and focus bracketing. I find it great for my needs. Sometimes I want to take a pic of the ceiling of a cathedra, so I put de camera on the floor pointing uip and I can control all parameters including framing the photo nicely. Highly recommended

Works great. So nice to be able to see the composition with a bigger screen and also to review the images in more detail. Also clients love it

Great customer care

Still waiting for compatibility with the Nikon Z8. Purchased the Mini thinking it would work considering it is compatible with the Z9 and the cameras are so much alike. Hoping the update will come soon. Until then, Mini sits on the shelf.

I’m a real estate photographer and was using Nikon’s app as a remote trigger. It had trouble with the latest iOS update, froze up for several minutes at a time, and left me struggling to use my old backup remote triggers in the middle of a shoot. I immediately bought the Camranger mini when finished with the shoot. I have had little to no issues in the two weeks I’ve had it and it has more features than the Nikon SnapBridge app. User friendly and a great investment for me. (I shoot a Nikon z6 mirrorless)
